I am new to self-portraiture. It started as something fun to do, but it quickly mutated into a form of self-expression.
These few sessions done in 2024 have been teaching me so much about myself like no other practice.
I usually start with an idea in mind, but something else comes up as I flow.
Usually, it isn’t beautiful. Usually, it is something hidden, even from me.
It's always a surprise, which makes it so powerful.
“Pressing Out” is a visual and emotional journey through self-portraiture. What began with a different intention became a process of raw release—unfiltered, unposed, and deeply human. In expressing what my body held, I uncovered healing, emotion, and a new way to feel alive.
